Wherever he may dwell, that place becomes holy
O Goddess! Thus I have described to you the characteristic
of a liberated one. Shri Guru Geeta leads the one who
follows Her honestly, to the Goal of Self-realization, helping
him to climb the ladder of sadhana, giving him full
description of seeker, sadhana and siddha. Shri Guru Geeta
removes all the doubts from the seeker's mind by telling him
the characteristics of the liberated one and the effects of
self-realization. This stanza is summarizing all the
characteristics of a Siddha, that have been so far described
In short the dwelling place, abode of Siddha Purusha also
equally is full of merit and does good to all. The realize
perfect man makes any place where he lives, holy and sacred
the place achieves the importance of Purusha-kshetra. So
much influence he has over and about the place of his abode.
Many miles around his abode, whoever happens to roar
about, even his safety is assured, his life and property are
protected because of the Siddha's power. It is said that ever
if by mistake anybody unconsciously follows the path to
Pandharpur, it amounts to meritorious act on his part, in
the same way, all those who live near or round about the
holy place where the liberated man resides, obtain merit
automatically, without doing any deliberate efforts, and they
too get liberated sooner or later. This stanza thus tells the
greatness of the holy man's residence too. That is why the
liberated one never dwells at one place for long, but roams
about all over the world, and creates several holy places
for people to get liberated. He travels a lot from time to
time, from place to place. As the Sun shines from one place
and throws his rays all over the world so also the liberated
one remains at one place but the whole circumference
becomes bright with his divine light and the darkness of
ignorance is removed. The place becomes the abode of
self. This is the characteristic of Guru-Tattva. This is the
Tattva. This is the effect of it.
