Q. Who can Be called a Siddha ?
A seeker is like a half cooked grain of rice whose ego of “I am this body” is still persisting. After completion of his spiritual practice, a seeker becomes a Siddha, like a fully cooked grain of rice. A Siddha is like a seedless variety of grapes, full of juice. He is like a lump of jaggery sweet all throught. A Siddha is always full of bliss, happiness, enthusiasm, love and peace. He loves everyone and accepts love from all.
Q. For God realisation, is it absolutely necessary to have the intermediary of Guru?
To take birth and come in this world everyone requires a mother. Similarly, to have spiritual birth, to understand the true meaning of life, a Guru is necessary. Fire is already there in the wood, but to bring it out, another burning piece of wood or matchstick or some source of fire or having a live fire is required. Similarly, to bring out the divinity concealed within your body, mind and intellect  a Guru who can give Shaktipat Diksha is absolutely essential.
Q. Is it advisable to to stop worship of the diety of one’s family and start worshipping Sri Guru?
Actually the real diety for everyone, each family is already within your body. The only true worship of the diety is to make it introvert and awaken it to go towards Sahasrar. The sea contains all river waters in it. So a bath in the sea is equal to taking a bath in all the holy waters. Similarly all gods and goddesses are included on one Sri Guru. If you can practice devotion to him, you get the credit for doing all other worships. But until this becomes your knowledge, there is no escape from ritualistic religion. When you realise theough meditation that the Guru is the only desired diety, all other worships will stop automatically. You need not try to stop them. You don’t give up anything, let things drop out by themselves with the grace of the Guru.
Q. What is the difference between Guru, Sadguru and the Guru who gives initiation?
The word Guru means ignorance about the self. Ru means the one who removes the ignorance. Everybody knows and experiences the three stages of waking, dream and deep sleep; but you are not aware of the consciousness that illumines the experiences in these three stages. A small child has to be told who is the paternal uncle, and maternal uncle amoungst the members in the family before he can recognise them as such. Similarly a completly realised Guru who possesses a thorough knowledge of Upanishads can point out to you about the Atma in you. You must hear this word Atma and knowledge about it through the mouth of Guru. Guru makes you listen to him and gives you knowledge of that self effulgent light, Chaitanya or the God that is residing within you in your heart. Just as steam, petrol or electricity are sources of energy on which various machines are operated, similarly, body, mind and intellect are operating on divine energy or Chiti. The source is within you in the form of blue light which you can see in meditation. The light within you is the Sadguru. The Guru who gives initation is  an expert in the science of Shaktipat. He can awaken your Kundalini and make you experience for yourself through meditation, that blue light or the Sadguru residing within you. Such a Guru belongs to the Datta dynasty. The unmanifist God, Datta is incarnated in a Guru who can give you Shaktipat initiation. The tradition of Datta never breaks or comes to an end. A Guru who can give or describe knowledge of Atma is like a lantern who has realised himself and can throw light on the path on another seeker but the glass around the lantern prevents you from lighting another lamp with it. Similarly, Kundalini awakening cannot be done by all Gurus, it is not their province or department. If there is no covering around the flame of oil lamp or candle, so another lamp can be lit with its help. Similarly a Guru who is an expert in Shaktipat is like a burning flame even his body consists of divine Chiti particles. He is not only a Siddha but also a shuddha or purified. There is no covering around the flame in him,  and hence he can transmit divine energy into another seeker and awaken Kundalini just like lighting one lamp with another. The Guru who gives Shaktipat Diksha never leaves this world. He prepares and raises a disciple to his own level and remains in the form of his disciple and works through him. As soon as the disciple is ready it is akin .........A Guru is not a human body, but divine energy bestowing grace on all. The world can be easily improved or bettered through the medium of the Guru.
Q. What is the difference between Guru’s feet and Guru’s wodden slippers? We always bow down to Guru’s feet but perform ritualistic worship of Guru’s wodden sandals. Why is it so?
The stationary unmanifest Brahma becomes manifest and mobile through the medium of Guru’s feet. That is why Guru’s feet differ from our feet. They become worthy of worship. They are beyond duality and a remedy for all adversities. Guru’s feet are like a power unit transmitting divine energy. The seven constituients of the Guru’s body have been purified hence Guru’s feet are also composed purely effulgent divine energy Chiti. Therefore you put the best part of your body, that is your head on Guru’s feet. In this way you are actually touching Brahma itself and the knowledge and devotion are actually transferred to your head.
Q. It is said that the spiritual drum has two sides. When one side is stroked, both sides start giving out sound. In the two sounds, what does the first one say and what does the other say.?
This statement is to be understood in connection with Kundalini. Kundalini has two ends or two mouths One is directed outward, extrovert or towards the material world. The other one is directed inwards, introvert, Godward or towards spirituality. When the Guru gives you initiation, he wakes up the inner or introvert end and makes you achieve action in inaction and inaction in action. This means that you perform actions in material world without getting interested in the results and without developing mental attachment. This also means that you avoid certain worldly actions without feeling sorry for the loss resulting from it. Also you engage yourself in meditation where apperently you are not doing anything but you gain valuable result in the form of progress in spirituality, which is subtle and cannot be seen by other people. This is expressed in technical language as above, so that gross and ordinary people should not become frightened and get repelled from spirituality.
Q. The gross body is always perishable. After death, the gross body goes back to the five elements from where it comes. Atma is eternal, and has no death or birth. Who then gets liberated
When you talk of death, it is the death of the gross body. Every individual has got a subtle body which does not die with the gross body. The idea that "I am this body" is lodged in the subtle body and not in the gross body i.e. this idea is in the mind. When this idea vanishes, it is the subtle body that is freed or liberated. This is called liberation.
Q. Is it not enough only to be well behaved? Is it absolutely necessary to practise meditation ?
In practical life, the meaning of good behaviour is to take care of oneself and one's affairs, not to interfere with any one else, and at times, to help others as far as possible. However, the real meaning of good behaviour is to remember God at every step, with every breath throughout your life. If you do not remember god and only lead a quiet harmless life, or even lead a life useful for other people, it is not good behaviour in the real sense of the word. It may purify the mind but it will not give you god realisation. A utensil which is meant for keeping milk needs not only to be scrubbed and cleaned, but also to be filled with milk. Kheer will be tasteless without sugar. Similarly, life without love for the Self will be dry and meaningless, you will have all material enjoyments but no peace of mind. Just as, unless you enter inside the sanctuary of any tomple, you cannot 'Darshan' of the God have a proper idol, similarly there can be no God reali- sation without meditation.
Q. if one has not taken Guru's advice in spiritual practices like Japa or Meditation, but one is doing the practice on one's own, does all that go waste?
If you do not go to school or college but are reading and studying at home, that does not go waste; but study caerried out under the guidance of a school teacher becomes easier and brings better success. Similarly, until you come across a Guru, any spiritual practices like Japa, Tapas or other disciplines of behaviour performed with a desire of God realisation do not go waste; but thee results come very late; knowledge of the Self will not take place. When Guru gives any Mantra to you, he charges it with his own power and such a Japa fructifies very quickly, you are also protected. To hope for god realisation by spiritual practices done on your own, is like purchasing gold by selling earth from a mountain; but to do Japa of Mantra given by Guru is like converting the entire moun tain of mud into a mountain of gold. You can now make out the difference for your- self.
Q. If Kundalini can be awakened by a Japa of God's name, why at all is it necessary to go to Guru ?
Kundalini Yoga is a perfect and established experimental science - that is why there is no place for lot of useless talking in this line as in other methods for realisation. Japa of God's if practised for a very long time does result in increasing heat in the body. This heat or manifestation of fire is due to Kundalini awakening, no doubt, but this is of an in- ferior quality. It does not lead to total awakening of kundalini. For higher medita. tion and for Shaktipata in upward or in- ward direction, it is absolutely necessary to have a Guru who is \“Urdhwareta" and who is well-versed in this science of Shakti- pata. Shaktipata in the outward or down- ward direction is of inferior quality and leads to creation of lot of diseases. Awak- ening of Kundalini is a very precious gain but you must be able to bear it. This you crnnot do unless you have grace of Guru. There is nobody to give upward direction to Kundalini except an expert Guru who can give Shaktipata initiation.
Q. Whatever work I undertake, resuIts in setback and failure. Which bad deeds of the past are responsible for this? And what is the remedy ?
Bad deeds of the past seven lives are responsible for the undesirable things happening in this life until such time that your remembrance of Guru, or God Shrikrishna becomes continuous and persistent, until such time that your devotion to God or Guru cannot be contained within yourself and starts overflowing inspite of obstacles. The chariot of this life has to pass through various tunnels of happiness and misery, success and failure. During meditation, you can get a glimpse of your previous lives. With the grace of Guru, it is possible to skip over several pages in the book of your previous lives. The trio of Japa of GURU OM, recitation of Shri Guru Geeta and meditation on Guru is the master key to a successful and prosperous life.
Q. If one does not want to have another birth, what must be done?
To have an idea. 'I am the body' is to have birth. To get rid of this notion is being alive in the real sense. To forget the Supreme God is akin to death. The ex- perience that I am that, that divine light is me, I am God, I am not this perishable body' and to make this knowledge your own is Self-realisation. This body is like a chariot, the vehicle you have hired for use in this worldly life. When it becomes old after a certain use, you discard it, go and have another vehicle. The Supreme Being is one: when he thought that He should become many, a drama started on the stage of this world- This world is like a play- ground; when you say you don't want ano- ther birth, you have to get out of this game. When you consider this world as a sphere of activities, you have to act; when you act, you are bound by the results. Cons- ider this world as a playground, this life as a game; then what you get is only plea- sure. When you live with the idea of living for others only, you have dropped the idea of 'I'ness and 'my' - ness. Then all your struggles and sorrows are over; what rem- ains is only auspiciousness and happiness. The fear of birth and death vanishes. You start experiencing the play of divine Chiti energy everywhere. The best way of getting : What is the difference between Grid of the idea 'I and mine' is to fill your heart with love of Guru. This is a good question.
Q. Our ancient saints and sages had not been conducting meditation camps. What is the necessity for them in present time?
Those ancient days are gone by. Today the time is favourable to Kali. Majority of the people are engrossed in material enjoyment, eating and drinking. Nobody even imagines that there is a deeper better meaning in this life. In olden days, seekers of truth and those aspiring for God realisation used to leave their houses and go to the jungles in search of a Guru. The state of mental development is quite different. This ius an age of advertisement. Nobody comes to know anything unless it is advertised nor will people accept the importance or greatness of things which are not advertised. So instead of people going out in search of Guru, today Gurus have come out to search the people establish contact with them and guide them. Unless meditation camps are conducted from place to place, and Gurubhakti advertised to the people they will not understand the real aim of human life. Even in olden times, saints have attempted to mix with the masses, give them lectures, conduct prayers etc to elevate their mental level. Meditation camps also serve the same purpose. It is a revised and improved form of the older methods.
Q. It is known and accepted that ordinary people need darkness for acheiving better concentration. But why should a person like you, who has reached a high stage, use goggles even at night? I feel that certain things can be told more effectively through the medium of eyes without using goggles. What is your opinion in this matter? Moreover, why do you use goggles only at the time of the lecture?
You need not ask personal questions. However, I have given you permission to ask questions, hence I do not want to avoid replying it even if it is personal. At a certain stage, every pore of the body of a seeker is transmitting Chiti or divine energy. There may be some people here in the audience who are adverse or antagonistic. The seeker needs to be protected from such people. Just as a mother protects a small child from evil spirits (people applauded here with loud clapping), a seeker at the above stage needs to be protected from evil minded people around him. Hence he uses goggles. Similarly, the Chiti Shakti coming through his eyes should not be wasted on a wrong person, so goggles are used. If the entire audience consists only of spiritual seekers and where there is nobody antagonistic, goggles are not used.
